We wish to direct students over the long haul and have them experience the transformative effect of an education that is taken personally. Artists and students learn and teach visually by producing individual and collaborative pieces that explore both time-tested and experimental processes.

Students are encouraged to teach and teachers are encouraged to learn. Class exercises and demonstrations are often developed into larger projects, which build connections between diverse communities. While we hone our skills, we are always looking for ways to redeem our discarded marks. We believe that the artwork as well as the art world holds a place for everything and everyone to grow into something rich and unexpected.
